Overview
Public articles, changing homepages and restricted content need different policies. Design delivery around editorial workflows to preserve both performance and accuracy.
This is an architectural planning example, not a customer case study, a delivered project or a promise of performance gains.
Map editorial actions to affected pages
Articles, recommendations, topic lists and images change at different rates. Map each publication action to affected pages before planning versioning and invalidation.
Preserve subscription boundaries
Separate public summaries from paid articles. Check cookies, authorization and cache keys so one subscriber's response cannot be reused by others incorrectly.
Right-size media for its display context
Serve images at suitable sizes and use deliberate loading strategies for large media. Consider layout stability, primary content and reading experience, not just total byte count.
Test editing, withdrawal and rollback
Validate articles, lists, sharing information and error states after changes. Removed content needs appropriate responses rather than successful empty pages at old links.
